A proud uri of Ngāti Uenukukōpako and Ngāti Whakaue, Hariata's career spans across the local and private sector in many industries including property, construction, tourism and iwi development. Hariata also serves on other whenua Māori boards including the Ngāti Whakaue Tribal Lands Committee of Management, Te Kuia Te Parewaitai Trust and Ōtūheihei Ahuwhenua Trust based in Te Kaha.
Hariata was elected in 2016.
Elected to the Trust in 2022, Jason Heke is a ringa raupā with extensive experience working on farms. Deeply committed to protecting the whenua for future generations, Jason brings practical knowledge and a passion for ensuring our land remains a source of strength and wellbeing for our people.
Nyreen Kiriona brings governance experience from her roles with Ahuwhenua Trusts, Ruamata Marae Trust, and Ngāti Tūteniu Hapū Trust. With a career in social services, she is passionate about uplifting whānau and ensuring our whenua is cared for, fostering wellbeing and sustainability for generations to come.
Nireaha is a highly experienced leader in governance, serving as Chair of Ngāti Uenukukōpako Iwi Trust, where he was instrumental in developing affordable rentals to house whānau. A tireless advocate for the iwi and a kanohi kitea, Nireaha is deeply committed to protecting our whenua, including the taonga Mokoia Island and our local moana. Nireaha has been a Trustee since 2016.
Margaret, elected in 2022, is a skilled and experienced operations manager with a passion for protecting our whenua and environment. She proudly serves on the Pikirangi Marae Trust and is a dedicated representative of the iwi, working tirelessly to uphold the values and aspirations of our people and future generations.
